Data Craft Technologies helps Fortune 500 companies make sense of their operational data. They needed a scalable data platform that could ingest from 50+ source systems, normalize the data, and serve interactive BI dashboards to non-technical business users.
The Challenge
Their existing ETL pipelines were brittle Python scripts running on cron jobs — no monitoring, no retry logic, and no lineage tracking. Dashboard queries were hitting raw transactional databases, causing production slowdowns during business hours.
Our Solution
We implemented a modern lakehouse architecture on AWS using dbt for transformation, Apache Airflow for orchestration, and Amazon Redshift as the serving layer. A custom React-based dashboard builder let business analysts create their own charts without engineering support.
Architecture Overview
The platform processes over 8 million events daily through a streaming ingest layer (Kinesis Data Streams) before landing in S3-based bronze/silver/gold tiers. Automated data quality checks run post-transform, with anomaly alerts delivered via Slack.
